For the best results wash the organic cotton pre-fold diapers three to five times before using to remove the natural oils and waxes. For these pre-washes use hot water and a small amount of zero residue detergent to make sure diapers are ultra absorbent. Set your machine to the maximum water level to wash diapers. Expect between 20 and 25% shrinkage after pre-washing.
